The most important function of a school is to help the overall and holistic development of a child. Although the ultimate objective of the school is to develop students’ cognitive ability, it also includes physical, mental, emotional and social wellbeing. So, apart from these developments, it’s also the responsibility of the schools to provide a safe and healthy environment.

In terms of safety, the school should ensure that the children are not bullied and physically and verbally attacked. The school should also have CCTV cameras to monitor any unusual activities. It should have a strong security check at the entrance to ensure that only authorized people enter the school.

In terms of healthy life, it should teach and practice healthy food habits by avoiding junk foods in their canteen. They should encourage the children to play outdoors and include physical wellbeing in their curriculum. They should also have a strong counseling system to counsel and guide children with behavioral problems.
