In your allocated teams you will each be provided with an opportunity to lead a team in a “shark tank” type activity. The assessment is in four parts.
You will first work individually and then as a team.

Project: The PYP faculty manager has requested you to design and present as a team a new logo for the PYP accounting program.

1. Individual Activity (20%)
Each person in the team will come up with a logo design for the PYP program. You will need to develop and present your pitch to your team, as a team you will decide which logo will be presented to the rest of the class. You may use a free software such as canva to design your logo. All your evidence must be inserted into the document below.

2. Team Activity 1 (30%)
As a group you must discuss and agree to one logo idea that will be presented to the rest of the class. Your interaction with the team will be observed.

3. Team Activity 2 (30%)
As a team you will now present your idea to the rest of the team. When you are presenting the idea to the class each person must have a role in the discussion.
Encourage feedback from the ‘sharks,’ or other students, in the class, a final winner will be decided by the trainers.

The Prize: Bragging rights and a feature on our Canvas course pages and potentially on our website.

4. Reflection (20%)
Following the assessment activity, you will complete a reflection using the following questions
a) Which leadership and teamwork skills (e.g. strategy, delegation, collaboration, communication, coordination, facilitation as well as others in text) did you display in the activity? Provide examples of this. (10%)
b) Which leadership and teamwork skills do you think you could have improved upon (or display for next time). Tell us how you can plan to improve these skills. (10%)
Use the template below to complete the entire activity.

ANSWER A = Through individual activity, you can show your STRATEGY FORMING SKILLS, as you have been asked to design a logo so accordingly you can plan out your strategy on how to make an impatful and catchy logo that everyone gets easily attracted to.

Through Team activity you can show your COMMUNICATION SKILLS, COORDINATION SKILLS & DELEGATION SKILLS as based on your communication skills and how well you are coordinating with other team members you would be able to pitch your idea of why your logo should be chosen and taken further to participate in the competition against other team members, also how well you are assigning task and duties to other team member without having any tiff shows your better delegatory skills.

ANSWER B = In case of improving your skills obased on your performance in the assessment task you are supposed to work hard and polish yourself on all those skills which you think you were lacking a bit while having your assessment compare to the other skills you are good at. For example, if you feel you were not able to coordinate well enough then you should work on your coordination skills as well as communication skills because without a good communication skills you can't have a better coordination among your team.
