what ways could the data collection be changed so that additional insight could be gained by testing with the different analytics types?
Please don't hesitate to give a "thumbs up" in case you're satisfied with the answer
There are many things you can do with respect to data collection techniques to get additional insights for testing with the different analytics types:
1. Adding more variables to the collection of data : Adding more data variables will give you more information about the data in consideration. You can perform more exploratory data analysis based on these additional variables, thereby enriching your understanding of the matter at hand
2. Adding granularity to the data: The more in depth you go, i.e. the more you dig in to collect granular data the more information you will get. For example, if you were collecting data from village to village, if you instead data for each person residing in the village , then you will be much better off, as the devil lies in the details.
3. Collecting more types of data : Instead of a time data collection technique, we could record also snapshots across a longer duration to generate time series data. This way, we can say how are variable evolving with time. Hence, we can enhance the nature of insights by not only looking at cross sectional panel data , but also time-series data.
4. Recording more data: recording more data removes biases due to less data. Hence, more the data you record the more unbiased your analysis will be. This is strictly associated with the number of observations you record. This would also solve most of your assumptions to apply statistical techniques
