Describe the layers of human skin, explain some skin details and defenses as well as some diseases of particular parts.
Answer: layers of skin:
1. Epidermis: the outermost layer of skin is called epidermis. It provides barrier against any pathogen. It is waterproof and gives us skin tone.
Disease : rash, dandruff, melanoma is associated with uncontrolled growth of melanocytes.
Defence : it act as barrier for all kind of infectious particles. It also protects us from harmfull sun rays.
2. Dermis: below epidermis dermis is present which sweat glands, connective tissue and hair follicles. It also contain langerhans and mast cells.
Disease : acne is associated with sebaceous gland.
Defence: lagerhans cells are the phagocytosis cells which protects against allergens and bacteria.
3. Hypodermis: Below dermis hypodermic is present. It is the deeper layer which contains fat cells, fibroblasts macrophages and connective tissue. This is also called as subcutaneous layer.
Disease: acrogeria- associated with loss of subcutaneous fat and skin atrophy.
Deffence : hypodermis contains macrophages which protects us from invading antigen.
