1) Spectroscopy is the study of physical chemistry deals with the study of interaction of matter with electromagnetic waves of different radiation.
Spectrophotometry is the quantitative measurement of light spectra reflection and transmission properties of materials as a functions of wavelength. It consists of 2 instruments. Spectrometer and Photometer.
Spectrometry is the application of spectroscopy. It is the analytical technique that measures mass-charge ratio of ions. The results are typically expressed in mass spectrum as a intensity is the function of mass-charge ratio.
b)
Parameters critical for the physical properties of the electro magnetic wave :-
Electro magnetic radiations are described by intensity(I), frequency and wavelength. Other parameters include speed of the radiation, amplitude of the wave, energy etc.
c) Light (electromagnetic radiation) has dual nature. Wave properties as well as particulate (photon) property. As the name indicates EM radiation electric field and magnetic field oscillate in plane mutually perpendicular to each other to the direction of wave. In young's experiment, he proved that light showed the properties of radiation, interference. In some other experiments, light shows properties of matter (particles).
