Briefly discuss either prejudice or racism and give an example from your own experience (something you have seen or something you experienced directly).
Prejudice-It is a general perception based on bias and no actual experience about any individual, group or a particular community in the society. Prejudice has not any strong evidence to why people thinks about any individual or a group. Prejudice comes from the influence of our peers, family and the society. When our environment is biased about one thing we began to accept the same.
In my experience i have see experienced the prejudice directly. Earlier I am an introvert person but i usually express my views in writing. When i started my post graduation i used to be with myself rest of students develops a prejudice about me that he has not any special ability but i used to dance. I can dance in front on people whom i am comfortable in and knows from a time. In my second year i started opening up with my peers and then in a camp they organised an event night in which our professors were also there. I gave my name for the dance everyone thinking that i will call off my name at the last second and they were having no expectations from me because of my nature which they observed in class but i participated and did the best that night all were so surprised to see my performance and accepted the fact that they were so prejudice about me earlier. They were not expecting such thing from my side.
