Growing trends in developments, directs business to be more process/ system.oriented rather than completley involving a manual intervention ( SOP based franchising). Having said that, on the other hand, an individual's personal skills like ( sales, marketing, people skills) etc are also a bery important factors to determine a successful start of franchises.

Coming back to the question, whether or not franchise is a positive / negative one, difference may arise on account of type of business. For example, a franchise involving manual hard labour would be more convenient with male however, a franchise with products involving personal care products for women will be more convenient with a female. The same needs to be considered on each case to case basis.
