1. What happens to the human being when his/her temperature drops below 36 and
2. What happens to them when their temperature goes above 49.
3. What changes happen to the human body especially when the body temperature drops much lower than 34 and much higher than 42 degrees Celsius? (Remember here we are
discussing the internal temperature of the human body and its effect on their being).
Body temperature is a measure of the body's ability to generate and get rid of heat.Normal temperature is 36 - 37.2 degree celcius.Hypothalamus in the brain is the thermo regulatory centre.Age,hormones, stress, environment, infection are some of the factors that affect the body temperature.
1.When temperature drops below 36 - (if less than 35 ,the condition is called hypothermia).During this condition symptoms like intense shivering, numbness and bluish or grayness of skin, possibility of heart irritability are observed. If it still drops and become 34 - symptoms are little more severe ,including severe shivering, loss of movement of fingers, blueness, confusion, chance for some behavioural changes etc.
2. When temperature increases above 49 - almost certainly death will occur.
3. When much lower than 34 - that is if the temperature ranges between 32 - 28,it is definitely a case of medical emergency with effects including - hallucinations, complete confusion, absence /very slight reflex ,very shallow breathing and slow heart rate, chance for heart rhythm problems.
If it still lowers and reaches the range between 28 - 24 ;breathing may stop at any time, the person may appear to be dead, severe heart rhythm disturbances, reason for death will be irregular heart beat/ respiratory arrest.(some people had survived till 14 )
When temperature becomes higher than 42 - Normally death/ chance for serious brain damage ,continuous convulsions and shock, cardio respiratory collapse.(some people had survived till 46 )
