Discuss the origin of zero-point energy. 5. Define the common term ’quantum leap’ and discuss. What does this term mean, and is it correctly used in common speech? Your answer should refer to the size of the leap, and if that is consistent with an atomic/molecular system.
1.Discuss the origin of zero-point energy ?
Zero Point Energy or Ground Point Energy or Vaccum energy or quantum field is a fluid like energy that spread in all space-time , which have different properties. They're maybe come from big bang . The experimental results said that they originated from the string distraction between open string and closed string ( string theory ) .

A . An abrupt transition of a system described by quantum
mechanics from one of its discrete states to another, as the fall
of an electron in an atom to an orbit of lower energy.
Electron transitions cause the emission or absorption of
electromagnetic radiation in the form of quantized units called
photons. Their statistics are Poisson,(a discrete frequency
distribution which gives the probability of a number of independent
events occurring in a fixed time) and the time between jumps is
exponentially distributed .The damping time constant (which ranges
from nanoseconds to a few seconds) relates to the natural,
pressure, and field broadening of spectral lines. The larger the
energy separation of the states between which the electron jumps,
the shorter the wavelength of the photon emitted.
