In following situations a practitioner should not rely on the
work of others:
- The person on whom he want to rely is not independent in his
own capacity and in relation to the company in the past or present,
which means he is having his own interest in the organization such
as a director, partner, any other position, or voting rights of the
major portion in the organization any other ways as such
- If there are like of written assurance and communication, then
we should not rely on it.
- The source data used to reach the conclusion or to make the
report on which we want to rely shall be correct, once the source
data is lacking the proper internal controls or the data used is
not authorized or unmodified data as per the latest changes then
its not a proper base to rely on this data.
- In order to rely on we should prepare a format of questionnaire
and ensure the relevant laws and provisions and rules are complied
and prepared as per such all, it should be controlled on a regular
basis.
- The proper coordination and communication between the person on
whom we are going to rely on should be maintained. If it doesn’t
exit, then we should rely on such.
