Briefly talk about Project Requirements. Your answer should be about 150 words. Use a text box on your spreadsheet for the answer.
Use a functional vs non-functional, SMART, etc.
Project requirement is one of the earliest phases of project management. This is the phase where the purpose, specification and modus operandi of the project is laid down. In addition to that, the success metrics are also defined. Success metrics are the work/tasks/goals that needs to be completed in order for project to be considered a success.
Project requirement phase generates a requirement document that contains all these details and forms the guideline for the following steps. Considering this, it is important for project requirement to be as thorough as possible in order to avoid ambiguity in the future. A project requirement document also need to list down the functional requirement (how the outcome should behave once completed) and the non-functional requirement (specifications and metrics that will drive the outcome). The discussion and the negotiation about resources, timeline, cost/budget, and features also take place between the project management team and the other stakeholder (clients, etc.).
P.S. Since there is no context, assuming that the talk about project requirement is in general.
