Actually, the University of California system has selected Michael Vincent Drake as the first Black President in its history of 152 years. He is supposed to succeed Janet Napolitano. He was the Chancellor of the University of California, Irvine California from 2005 to 2014.Before that he was also the Vice President for health affairs for the University of California system.

The University of California is a public university system in the California state of the USA. It has got campuses in Santa Cruzz, Santa Barbara, San Fransisco, San Diego,Merced, Riverside, Los Angeles, Irvine, Berkeley and Davis.It was founded on March 23,1868 and first operated in Oakland. After that it moved its campus to Berkeley in 1873.It has got undergraduate and graduate schools an affiliated Law School and also has a huge national laboratory.
