What do you think should be the role of government in ensuring suitable access to internet. Do you think government should subsidize access to the internet for poor people? Why/why not

Now a days Internet has become part of our life for most of us.It is connecting people along with knowledge.Now coming to the role of government, they are giving access to internet service providers to expand their network and allow people to use internet. Goverment decides which internet service provicers will be allowed in market and which one not by going through security concerns and policies. So government is doing great job if we talk about security and policies.

The next point is that government should subsidize access to internet for poor people or not. The answer is obvioulsy yes. It is beneficial for poor people who are not getting any platform like school, colleges etc. With this scheme , poor people will also get opportunity to learn and do something creative in their life. I will say even they can earn money through internet. Poor people don't have money , knowledge to access internet. Once they will get opportunity they will learn by manipulating it.
