There are many myths regarding raising children. In this discussion, you will give your opinions of some of these ideas. For each of the following statements, indicate whether you agree or disagree and why using complete sentences.
1. My baby started walking and talking earlier than other babies. I know he will be smart.
2. I pick up my baby as soon as she starts crying. My friend thinks I am going to spoil her.
3. I want to have only one child, but my partner thinks that only children have problems relating to other children.
Please answer each question using at least 2 complete sentences (8 sentences total) and correct English. That's a total of 8 sentences
1. Each baby is unique and different and this would mean that they would develop their fine motor skills and gross motor skills at different times. This doesn’t mean that those who walk and talk earlier would be smart or intelligent. It all depends on what type of environment they would have while they grow in terms of parenting, education and socio-economic factors.
2. Children would develop healthy and secure attachment depending on how good the parents are in terms of caring, attending and feeding. This would mean that children would start developing trust in their environments if they are able to gain secure attachment which would entirely depend on the parental care and attention and this wouldn’t spoil the child but would boost its confidence in itself and on others.
3. As the society is becoming more complex raising many children becomes very difficult, especially when both the parents work. This would mean that children would adopt to their environment and parents would be able to spend more quality time with the children. This would help them develop positive outlook about the world and themselves.
