Describe the single strongest piece of evidence or reasoning that you feel buttresses the Theory of Evolution.

Expert Solution

Ans: For the support of the theory of evolution stated by Charles Darwin, I would say that comparative anatomy is the strongest piece of evidence that can be seen over various living organisms. If we compare the different structure of the different living things then we can say some living things are our ancestors. To demonstrate the understanding of the comparative anatomy of different living things take an example of four different living things: Bats, whales, cats, and we (humans). All four animals taken in the example have different or unique lifestyles and live in a different environment. If we look into the skeletons of all these living things we can easily notice a regular and common change between all four. The below figure illustrates the concept of evolving of skeletons on all these four living things. The best part of the figure is that it shows the process of evolution of skeleton in a serial manner. There are more various proofs and evidence like genetic code of all living things on earth have the same chemical building blocks that show we have a common ancestor and we evolve from them. The comparative anatomy of living things can be best to showcase evidence of the theory of evolution.
