Two branches autonomic nervous system:--
(1). Autonomic nervous system:--The autonomic nervous system is a part of peripheral nervous system, it is also known as visceral nervous system. It regulates the function of cardiac muscle activities, glands and smooth muscle.
It is subdivided into two main parts:-
(i) Sympathetic nervous system:- It deals with the stressful and exciting conditions. It is also known as thoracolumba nervous system. For.eg:- Fight or Flight.
(ii) Parasympathetic nervous system:- It responsible for cooling down body processes. It acts as a peacemaker allowing repair process with peacefully and quietly. For.eg:- Rest and Digest.
# During fight or flight situation, impulse are convey neurones from their home in the hypothalamus, reticular formation and medulla oblongata to effecting organ and tissue. First neuron has its head or cell body in brain and it's fibre extends into spinal cord.
