Just like any other profession, engineering too has certain laws and ethics. It is necessary to imbibe these laws and ethics in the engineers while they are being prepared to enter the corporate world. Engineers are expected to perform their job with highest levels of understanding, integrity, harmony and honesty. They must show full and undying dedication towards their work as they work not only for corporate but also for the government of any nation.

As the role played by engineers is of utmost importance for the welfare of public, the relevance of engineering laws and ethics cannot be avoided. People trust engineers to provide them with safe goods and services. This is because they know that engineers perform as per the standards taught and provided to them. Moreover, mistakes committed by engineers cost not only wastage of time, efforts and money but also loss of lives.
