In your own words, describe:
1) Edge triggering
2) What an AutoSet function on an oscilloscope does
1) the tetm 'trigger' means to make somsometh active, in electrical engineering to make the circuit active.
Now there are two ways of doing this
a) level triggering : high level or low level is used for level triggering. Suppose a circuit is positive level trigged ,this means to make the circuit active or working you have to give high voltage level.
b) edge triggering: edge triggering means that the circuit becomes active at the rising edge or falling edge of the pulse or clock.the advantage of edge triggering over level triggering is that it will not give the false or random output as in edge triggering, The output toggles indefinitely.
2) The autoset function is used in digital oscilloscope makes the signal to be measured display for The user. Basically it is a autoranger ,that chooses range of the signal automatically .when a user presses autoset , The oscilloscope measures The signal and selects some range that the signal falls into, now that Will be shown in the display of oscilloscope.
