Briefly describe an example of an intuitively valuable life (it can be someone you know personally or someone you just know of). Explain what makes their life valuable. Does Hedonism do a good job of capturing all the dimensions of value in the life in your example? Why or why not?"
Hedonism is a concept which explains the process of overall wellness. If we try to avoid suffering and remain curious in search of happiness then only we can live a well being life. Everyone in this life remain in search of happiness only.
Seeking pleasure and happiness is the ultimate goal of human life. Sensual pleasure is the prime aim in the concept of hedonism. I think valuable person is that person who contributes something meaningful to this society. Such person tries to remain happy because he/she observes his/her own happiness in the happiness of others.
If we live for others and people remember us then only we claim our life as valuable. Bill Gates was the richest person of this earth. He donated his huge amount of money through his foundation. He did this just to fight with global poverty.
His foundation has already saved millions of lives across the globe. He never tried to collect money only for himself. He tried to bring smiles on millions faces. Those smiles provide enormous amount of satisfaction and that's the reason that he donates almost 46 percent of his total income.
All these aspects make his life really valuable for this society. We should think about our society and not only for ourselves. We should contribute something meaningful to this society in order to make our life valuable.
