10. what is fusion any why is it considered the future of energy?
Fusion: Every atom has three types of particles in it namely electron, proton and neutron. Proton and neutron lies at the center of atom and this center is called nucleus while the electron revolves around the nucleus. Electron and nucleus have opposite charges and so has a force of attraction between them. This is just the basic of what the atom is? Now we can answer your question, what is fusion? , A fusion is a process in which twol lighter atomic nuclei combines and form a heavier nuclei. During fusion a lots of energy is liberated and this energy can be further used to generate electricity.
Now coming to your next question, why fusion is future of energy? Presently all the conventional form of energy like coal, fossil fuels, etc. are decreasing rapidly therefore humans are moving toward non-convention source of energy like solar, wind, fusion, fission etc. Solar, wind produce less energy as compare to fusion and fission. Fission produces a lot od radioactive waste while fusion produce less radioactive waste as compare to fission process, therefore, Fusion is becoming the future of energy.
