How does ecofeminism consider the issue of world hunger? Explain how these views provide a reasonable approach of how we can cooperate with the natural world and survive in terms of an adequate amount of food production.
Eco-feminism is a concept that explains the connection between the male dominant society on women and the materialistic culture on the nature. Both have depleted all the resources, changed the course of production. They suggest that male domination has resulted in unequal pay, unequal treatment and exploitation of women and nature as they treat both as same. Once an intersection is created where men, women and nature coexist without any conflicts, the scenario would change.
It proposes that industrialization has caused the destruction of nature, thus ending both flora and fauna thus resulting in less food production. They have also pointed out that the commercialization of food production has made most of the people go into poverty. One of the most important thing that eco-feminism suggests is that people should follow vegetarian thus saving the animals that will further enrich the forest lands and farm lands. Eco-feminism suggests not to exploit resources in greed and end-up in a mess rather respect the labor and land thus promoting a holistic approach to food production which will help eliminate poverty too.
