A metropolitan bus company- Six Sigma methodology can be applied to reduce the traffic accidents in the metro region. When the DMAIC methodology is implemented, the reasons for the accidents can be known to reduce the accidents. This eventually would result in improved quality of life for the citizens.

For amusement parks service is main criteria and hence they need to measure defects hampering their service levels. In these type of cases customer satisfaction can b one of the area where they use Six sigma methodology. This require careful definition of what is defect. One of the organization can put anything below 6 on scale of 1 to 8 is a defect some other organization may accept 4 as the limit. So definition of defect is important in this case . Similarly they can measure number of games not available on day as a defect and measure this based on different reasons of not availability of games.
