1. How are Sampling Errors and Nonsampling Errors different?
2. What types of errors do you feel are most critical?
(It needs to be about 2 paragraphs)
Difference between sampling error and non samppling error?
Answer:
Difference between sampling error and non-samling
error:
(1) A sampling error arises in a data collection process as a
result of taking a sample from a population rather than using the
whole population.
Non sampling error arises in a data collection process as a result
of factors other than taking sample.
(2) Sampling error cause due to deviation between sample mean and
population mean while non sampling error causes due to deficiency
and analysis of data
(3) A sampling error occurs only when a sample is selected but a
non sampling error occurs in both the case in sample and
census.
(4) Sapling error can be reduced by increasing sample size but
there is no role of sample size in case of non sampling
error.
(5) Sampling error is random type while non sampling error may be
random or non random.
(2) What types of errors do you feel are most critical?
Answer:
(In this part you did not specified are you taking about sampling error and non sampling error or some other king of error.
I'm giving you hint for the sampling error and non sampling error):
in non-sampling errors we often distort estimates by pulling them in one direction(called biased).
Hence we can conclude that Non-sampling error is more serious/critical than that of sampling error.
