A better education and training with a system of care approach will reduce the risk with emergencies and disasters in the following manners:

1) Reduces the level of hazards and damages:

When people will have more awareness related to emergency care and disaster mitigation then they will face fewer challenges and damaged caused by such risky incidents. People might be in position to take immediate decision to reduce the challenges they will face.

2) Technological knowledge will provide many advantages to the people:

In modern days, technological advancement will reduce the challenges faced by people as they have many support systems like internet, social media, TVs news, video calls, instant messaging and chatting to make more people alerts at the time of risks.

3) Ethical approach to help other disaster prone people at the time of emergency:

Education will make people empower as well as force them to think ethically and value based approach to support and assist other people involved in risky situation.

4) Importance of training:

If, people will be given training then they will be in position to help themselves and other citizens in a community. Even, it gives them confidence to face the critical challenges at the time of disaster like earthquake, Tsunami, Tornado, Cyclone and typhoons etc.

       Instant decision making capabilities:

An educated person can take faster decision as compared to an illiterate people as he knows the various facets related to risk mitigation at the time of emergencies.

For example: One can decide to which hospital the patient should be admitted to get immediate care.

Less damages to the property:

A better aware people will shift their belongings to safer place at the time of disaster like flood, fire etc. It will reduce the loss of property due to already safer steps by the people.

Improved skills and competencies:

When people update and improve their older skills then their competencies might be enabled as sharper one. They will be capable to face the challenges of various types of emergencies like health care, earthquakes, flood, cyclone and any other. They can provide more suggestions to the authority to reduce the challenges.
