Expert Solution

Resection is surveying technique that is used when the given points are not at all accessible but the new point is accessible then it is said to be resection method .

I am going to give you the resection method which are discussed below with diagrams , do check out the images that are attached to it for the calculation part as well .

RESECTION METHOD :

In this method look at the image that i have attached , the Point X is the current location of the new control station . In this we already have 3 points which have known coordinates

  1. all of these points namely A , B and C which are visible from point X .
  2. calculate the distance for AB and BC .
  3. We are taking angles as , and .

SUMMARY

Using 3 point that is A , B and C with known coordinates , i have proved that the point X can be located by finding out the angle and bearing at the various locations. Hence i have proved the resection technique and provided all the necessary formula`s required for the calculation .

HOPE SO YOU WOULD APPRECIATE MY EFFORTS , PLEASE PROVIDE POSITIVE RATINGS ,THANK YOU :)
