An engineer raises the possibility of building a clean energy source with high levels of safety. The engineer understands "clean energy" as that which does not generate polluting waste, and "high levels of safety" the fact that it does not affect people's health.
Another engineer objects to these criteria, arguing that any source of energy generates polluting waste, and that the question to be discussed is the final destination of the waste; that is, if the waste goes to water, air, soil, or another medium. In addition, it asks you for data to support your statement about the contamination of energy sources. On the other hand, this engineer argues that security must be based on automated control of energy use.
Explain your point of view and compare it with the claims of these two engineers. Indicate whether the engineers' reasoning is inductive, deductive, or otherwise.

Expert Solution

I agree with the second engineer statement and that is any source of energy generates polluting waste. And there so many problems caused by these energy sources.that is

1. Water pollution :

Waste products of energy sources. If we use chemicals that may harmful to environment.store them correctly otherwise it may cause ground water pollution

2.Air pollution :

Most of the carbon dioxide is produced by the these energy sources. By this air pollution acid rains can form( it can kill plants). And smoggy city can develop (a city with most contaminated air) it is harmful to humans.

3.soil pollution :

If waste products of energy sources like plastic,it is harmful for soil. Land pollution can seriously disrupt the balance of nature and in extreme cases it causes human fatalities.

4. Noise pollution :

If there is no control on noise produced by the energy sources.

If we take care of energy sources these side effects can be reduced.if we use less plastic bags then soil pollution can control. If chemical uses are correct and waste is monitored then we can disposal into water according to the the limits given by the government.it can reduce water pollution. In these manner we can take care of waste products produced by the energy sources then they can be reduced.

Flying High Airlines needs a special order of 500,000 gallons of jet fuel from Energy Source, a local supplier which Flying High usually does not do business with.  Due to winter weather and poor travel conditions, Flying High’s regular shipment of fuel did not arrive.  Flying High usually pays $4.50 per gallon under contract with their regular supplier and is not willing to pay Energy Source any more than that.  Energy Source is a smaller producer and usually charges $5.25 per gallon.  The company’s...
