Sturtural analysis using BIM is a process in which analytical modeling software utilizes the BIM design authoring model so as to determine the behaviour of a given structural system. Based on the analysis, further development and refinement of the structural design takes place to give result to create effective, efficient, and constructible structural systems. They can be modelled using minimum standard requirements and optimised accordingly. The BIM use does not have to be implemented from the beginning of the design to be beneficial. It helps to reduce the faults that could be caused due to manual error. The application of this analysis tool allows for performance simulations that can significantly improve the design, performance, and safety of the facility over its lifecycle. The visualization level is vital in BIM interoperability, given the multiple dimensions and the high level of complexity of BIM data.
