Japan, China, Europe and Singapore (in 1000 words)?
Question 4: How Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) is used in Bogota and
Curitiba to solve transport problems (in 1000 words)?
1)ITS:- means intelligent transportation system, the main aim of intelligent Transportation system is to reduce accidents, make traffic flow eco friendly which means the reduction of fuel consumption which indirectly reduces pollution, reducing traffic problems such as traffic congestions, etc are the main motos of this ITS Technology. Coming to the Japan National Police Agency, Ministry of international trade & industry, Ministry of transport, Ministry of Post and telecommunication Ministry of construction are playing a vital role in ITS technology in ITsJapan. Initially, it can be classified are identified as 3 parts, they are, when an electronic routing system adopted as the first stage, this ETC technology i. e electronic toll collection etc are the second phase, upcoming future innovative thoughts come under the 3rd stage. Advances in the Navigation system, automatic toll collection, safe driving are targets of ITs.
European Commissioner plays a major role in ITs technology in Europe. Digital single market strategy in Europe interested in ITS for ETC related issues.
Intelligent Transportation Society of America focuses more on ITS technology. they focus on traffic control via ITS. weather effects on roads through ITS etc.
2) ITS must be applied in tollgate centers, This ITS technology enables us to detect the vehicle when it passes through tollgate effectively. so that there would be no requirement to stop the vehicle and pay amount, ITS supports easily us to deduct amount automatically.
Properly designed ITS can be helped in mitigating the accidents i.e when a vehicle is going to be hit, obstructions are detected by ITS so that accidents can be eliminated
properly designed ITS can identify road signs and can notify the driver. Road networks, best or optimistic path to the destination is identified and guided by ITS
Well designed ITS guides the route in such a way that traffic congestion, weather effects on roads, etc are minimized to the best possible extent.
if research is done well on ITS, there would be chances for trails to travel with 500 to 1000 KMPH, i.e, trains will be lifted a little with magnetic effects, and zero friction situations are made so that the train can move with designed speed.
3) TDM Transportation demand management, TSM Transportation system management is like demand and supply time. In simple words, traffic congestion is given by TDM, Required or best root is selected through TSM, they best suited in the well-organised traffic network. These are like 3rd state or most advanced part of ITS.
4) BRT - Bus Rapid system is a massive transport system through specially designed bus networks. this system gives a good fight with metro rail in terms of speed, cost of transport, etc. It suits more in urban areas. If it is implemented well, it gives relaxation to congestion-related problems, environmental problems, etc.
