1. Which railway lines will serve best the mass transport and business sector: the route lines of the new LRT 1, 2 and 3 or the historical lines of the 1888 Manila-Malabon tranvia? Why? Granted that the population of Metro Manila was reduced due to spread of development, jobs and businesses in the countryside provinces, is it possible that the 1888 Manila-Malabon's 27 stations-places will be revived and restored again for the Filipino people? Why? Defend your answer?

2. Was the Manila-Malabon tranvia really phased out due to Metro Manila's growing population and with the introduction of diesel powered jeepneys and bus transits or the unwillingness of the rich politicians to spread the development and prosperity through the linkages of the economy of the various towns and provinces? Why or why not? Defend your answer.

1. The route lines of the new LRT 1, 2 and 3 will serve as the best mass transport and business sector. Earlier the LRT was not properly maintained at present massive improvement is underway.

• Overcrowding and rush hour conditions called for drastic measures.
• At present stations are being expanded and track work improved

The operators of Railway systems have more plans to upgrade and extend the projects.

Apart from this proper maintenance and operations on daily basis of the existing rail lines is utmost important, to ensure efficient and smooth travel also safety of the passengers.

Manila -Malabon tranvia the first one  were horse drawn omnibuses for 12 seated and 8 standing passengers. Later it ran on steam.

The manilla -malabons system will be not be revived and restored because in today's overcrowded population this system will not be of much use.

Later Manila city officials aslo blamed slow economic growth and overcrowded population to the out dated horse car system. They considered this transport as undesirable system of public vehicle.

Also advances in motorization played a major role in transportation. Lots of army jeeps used during war was availabe and it was replaced by horse drawn streetcars to serve as public transport in the Metro.

2. The Manila-Malabon tranvia was phased out because of WWII, and also floods during 1943 poorly detoriated the maintenance of tranvia.The destruction to life and property was so large that the city was second most destroyed ni the war.

Post war and independence the task of rebuilding the city and nation, was a priority taking the facts into consideration the tranvia was out of business.

Conclusion : Mass rail transit system plays a important role in the socia economic growth and development of an nation mostly in the cities and other metro areas.
