The above elements indicate that in order to prove the case against the deceiving party, it is highly important that the innocent party should have relied on the deceiving party.
A classic example from my personal life is that my friend replied to a call for interview email to go the United States for work. All the facts sent by the interviewer was a complete misrepresentation of facts and the innocent party (my friend) completely relied on those facts in such a way that she even sent money to the interviewer for visa formalities. Later, she came to know that she has been deceived and it was an act of fraud.
