Jesus told that obedience to Jesus is not an option rather Christians should follow them if they truly love God. He never said that a person should be sinlessly perfect and if someone says that it means they still need guidance and saying this thing will not lead him to heaven. It is nothing but deceiving yourself. One must understand what is faith and following the path of saving faith can only encourage us to improve our lifestyles can further help us to find our holiness. He said true obedience is the foundation of life for Christians. Without it, one gets nothing but destruction. People often believe in God and take him as the saviour but never accept him as the Lord. It becomes difficult for them to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. Jesus had chosen the path of obedience, though he was God's child but it is said that he didn't take the advantage but he didn't lose faith even during his crucifixion.

There were many parts of Jesus's teaching which seem really difficult for people to follow like "The cost of discipleship", "The wide and the narrow gate" these are some hardest parts. In cost of discipleship, Jesus explained that following God is not without cost but we will have to sacrifice the support of our loved ones. We have to leave them at one point of time, also generally people enter the wide gate and few choose the narrow gate which shows us brighter side and we can be the part of the kingdom of heaven. Easiest will be, forgive them who have wronged us and always pray for them and try to heal them with your healing power. Jesus also tells us that love your neighbour as you love yourself. We find some parts hardest because that expose our follies and push us to take some life changing decisions.

I feel "a law-giving God" has the most modern application because the conception of a law giving God comes to more prominence in today's life. Also respecting and loving every individual can be a good message to the new generation. God is to be trusted more than a law-giver and he is like a father figure.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. This is the best thing he ssid.
