Subject: Internship program
We do want a strong internship program that can provide us with superior, well-trained personel; however, the program must meet government regulations.
Your inquiry about the status of our interns caused my staff and me to look into this matter more carefully. Our attorney told us that all interns must be considered employees and paid at least the minimum wage. We leanred that college students are legitimate only if they are recieving real training. Interns are not legitimate if they do any of the following: 1. If they displace a regular employee. 2. If they complete a client's work for which we bill the client. 3.If they are promised full-time jobs at the end of training.
I appreciate your bringing this to my attention. I would like to arrange for you to meet with the vice-president and me to analyze this fall's internship program and consider changes.
Having every single intern sign a contract saying that they are willing to accept college credit in place of wages does not provide legal protection. An intern must do more than busy work.
After eviewing our complete program, changes must be made. We believe that future interns must have a structured training program. Let's meet to discuss!

The Main Idea-
The main idea of this email is to revamp and bring meaningful positive changes in the internship/training programme offered by the organization with which Sable Johnson is associated.
Logical and Clear Message of the Email-
Basically Sable Johnson wants to convey the following messages to Joshua Turck-
· Sable Johnson acknowledges that indeed our internship programme does have some shortcomings which need to be addressed and they are going to come up with a well-structured internship/training programme as soon as possible.
· Sable Johnson’s organization will bring out a well-planned internship programme for the students from the next session.
· Sable Johnson’s organization will pay a minimum wage to each and every intern from the next session unlike earlier when students may opt for college credits instead of salary as interns.
· However, Sable Johnson’s organization will make sure that an intern does not replace a regular employee, will not directly come into contact with the organization’s customers until and unless asked to do so, and if they are offered full-time jobs at the organization then they will become the employee of the company and will not be regarded as an intern.
· To further discuss the modalities of the upcoming structured training programme, Sable Johnson wants to arrange a meeting of Joshua Turck with the VP of her organization.
