Emotions are the important aspect of human behaviour and every effective speech must have some emotions involved in it. therefore it is not unethical to use motional appeals while persuading the audience. Persuation requires set of various skills and emotional appeal when combined the logical and rational thought can bring positive results.
However, humans have variety of emotions that are triggered by different phenomenon . Human can be emotionally aroused to alleviate the suffering of other, rich can be emotionally appealed to Donate charity by showing the poor condition of marginalised. educated individual can pe aroused to understand the social evil and create the awareness. Citizen can be emotionally aroused to join security forces and contribute to national growth by comparison with other nation . However, if audience are aroused on emotional appeal of religious, racial or ethnic ground then it might create a law and order issue, compromising rights of minorities and clashes instead of cooperation. Thus emotional appeal in persuasion have reasonable restriction.
