Expert Solution

1. Primary succesion is known as the ecological succession which takes place without ant soil or other living organism. For example after the volcano eruption there is no soil or no other living orgnisms, but first the algea, fungi, moss like organisms grow and make the soil aaand prepare the land for others. So they are called the primary succession.

So the correct option is-(b)Response to a disturbance that left no life or soil.

2. Secondary succession is known as the ecological succession that takes place after the collapse of the primary succession. For example after a forest fire,or any hurrican or tsunami like natural desaster destroys the primary succession and kills the most of the pre-existing species and then began the secondary succession with the few number of remaining species on the soil which was produced in the primary succession.

So the correct option is-(a) Response to a disturbance that left soil and living organism remain.

3. Keystone species are the species which presence plays a major role on the ecosystem. For example the Royl Bengal Tiger in the Sunderbans eats the major herbivors (deers, bufflows)who eats the grass land, now if the Tigers were not present in the forest then the herbivors would have eat the all grass land so the primary producer will vanish and the ecosystem would have collapsed. So the Roley Bengal Tiger is the Keystone species as their presence plays a great role on the other species and the as well as on the ecosystem.

So the correct option is-(c) Species that have unusually large influence on the other species in the community.

4. Terrestrial biomes is a particular pieece of land with constitutee of similar type of land, temperature and communities of plant and animals.

So the correect option is-(d) all of the above

5. The change of weather and climate on the earth caused by the sunlight falls on the.The sun light falls on the earth is not same in all places it is high on the equator line and very low on the poles. Moreover the sunlight which falls on the land is not same throughout the whole year as the eath's orbit oval shape and the tilt.So this unequal sunlight causes this change in the climate of any particular place.

The correct answer is- (d) Unequl solar heating of the earth.

6. (a) Photoautotrophs and chemoautotrophs: These are capable to produce their own foods by the help of sunlight and oxidation of chemicals. So this option is wrong.

(b) Prey and predators: The predators eats the prey,so in this case a species feed the other. So this option is wrong.

(c) Detritivores and decomposers: The fungi and some bacteris which eats the waste and dead organisms. So this option is correct.

(d) None of the above: This option is wrong because option (c) is correct.

The correct option is-(C) Detritivores and decomposers.
