what ethical principles are being violated and why? i want to touch on all of them, but which ones are most important and why ?
Phase 1 - Severely violated to less severely violated
Avoidance of killing – When the drug counteracts with another drug’s side effects, it could even kill the patient but medical ethics states that killing a human being is a crime because life is sacred.
Beneficence – This principle suggests that the medicine’s ultimate aim should bring some good and not harm to the patient and in this place, they market a drug that is harmful.
Veracity – It means being honest with the patients by telling them the truth about the possible side effects of the drug that they are marketing.
Fidelity – Any physician or pharmaceutical company should put the patient’s interest and care before anything such as money, profit etc.
Justice – It means that the researcher should respect the subjects and treat them well. They also need to share the resources equally.
Autonomy – This principle states that people are independent and they are capable of taking decisions, especially about the medical decisions and one shouldn’t force them or persuade them to buy certain medicines.
