In job interviews as well as work related social situations, the manner in which a person behaves is absolutely important. While appearing for an interview it is not only the subject knowledge that matters, but along with that there is also self presentation that supplies the interviewer with non verbal cues that would be responsible in creating a first impression. For the interviewer, a person who has a balanced and confident posture, which would be subtle at the same time, along with the dressing of a person being representative of their ability to rise to the occasion plays an important role. Also, the interviewer notices the choice of words and the humbleness in tone that is represented by voice modulation.

These attributes cannot be learned in a day and could only be learnt through regular imbibing. If a person is not taught of these values for a fair amount of time, they would not be able to demonstrate these carefully. With a person belonging to a higher socio economic status, these values would be subsequently taught giving enough importance, but might not be given ample importance in a family of a lower socio economic class. Hence, class plays an important role in interviews as well.

Also, when interacting with clients or resolving conflicts, calm composure and proper resolutions have to be brought. In such situations, the individual cannot become aggressive or mishandle clients. This is also taught through families in the form of social culture.
