Figure the percent of mass of Aminiuem nitrate (NH4)² NO3

Figure the percent of mass of Aminiuem nitrate (NH4)² NO3

Solutions

Expert Solution

The formula of ammonium nitrate is NH4NO3

The molar mass of NH4NO3 (=N2H4O3)is = (2xAt.mass of N ) + (4xAt.mass of H ) + (3xAt.mass of O)

                                                             = (2x14) + (4x1) + (3x16)

                                                             = 80 g/mol

Therefore the molar mass of NH4NO3 is 80 g/mol

Combustion produces oxides of nitrogen and oxides of sulfur, which can be oxidized to nitrate (NO3-) and sulfate (SO42-) respectively in the atmosphere: the nitrate and sulfate subsequently may be deposited by both wet and dry processes. Cite and explain specific regional or global-scale problems, or potential problems, that may be exacerbated by increased levels of nitrate and sulfate deposition in precipitation.
