  • I do agree with this statement since social work assessment provides in-depth information about the client's mental health,educational needs,occupational needs etc.Assessment involves collecting and analysing information about people with the aim of understanding their situation and determining recommendations for any further professional intervention.Assessment is particularly important as it creates the foundations of a social workers work with the service user. The purpose of a social workers assessment is to help them to understand the situation that he/she is dealing with and to identify the relevant factors in a situation about the client.Right from individual assessments to famil assessments all provide a basis for further interventions but only if done rightly and by a skilled professional. The social worker must have knowledge about how to interview clients and gather information without intruding in their personal space.
