Compare and contrast photosystem I and photosystem II
Why is oxygen important to aerobic metabolism? Explain the specific role.
Photosystem II absorbs light as a result it electrons in the reaction-center chlorophyll are excited to a higher energy level and are trapped by the primary electron acceptors. Photoexcited electrons travel through the cytochrome b6f complex to photosystem I through an electron transport chain set in the thylakoid membrane.

Combustion means burning, which is why this is called burning sugars, fats, and proteins for energy.The aerobic metabolism system functions using the Krebs Cycle, a complex series of chemical reactions that use oxygen to convert nutrients to carbon dioxide and adenosine triphosphate (ATP), an energy-rich compound . As we know Cellular respiration is the cellular process which transfers chemical energy from glucose to ATP. Here, Oxygen is essential to have efficient cellular respiration; most organisms need oxygen for a single purpose: to release energy from food for use by cells.
