What are the most important considerations when interpreting achievement test scores? Why? What are the most important considerations when making decisions based on achievement test scores? Why?

Solutions

Expert Solution

Step-1

Most important consideration when interpreting achievement test score are...

norm referenced test score are used to interpret achievement test score. So it shoul be properly considered that All the students are compromises with norm group or not and wheather create standard curve or not .while interpreting achievement test score, properly considered and determined appropriate test .besides three major test of norm reference like age and grade equal valency where achievement are compare with age , percentile rank(make rank on the basis of score through percentile) and standard score which numirical simply based on mean and average score.so all thses must considered when interpreting academic achievement test score.

On the other criterion reference test where set a criteria that must be meet to the sfudstud.for example, a teacher set criteria 50% to pass a examination, so all the students should get minimum 50% to pass examination .so teacher must be considered the learner abilities, and strength before set any criteria

Step-2

While making decisions based on score ..then realiblity , validity , and objective , and usefulness must properly considered

Realiblity: consistency must be measured to understand wheather there is gap in academic achievement score or not.therefore we can make appropriate decision regarding learner performance

Validity:it means creadiblity and believeblity.accuracy of data must be properly considered while making decisions.

Objective: it's means find out the same result after hundreds times of doing same test.so there will be no chance of change the result .so data of achievement test score must be proper objective which hepls to take proper decision.

Usefulness of achievement test is another key factor which must be properly considered
