******** I have written a bit lengthy answer for your ease so that you pick out the points you need. This requires a lot of effort so please give a thumbs up if you are satisfied with the answer*******

Characteristics and purposes of Intel & AMD Processors:

  1. Core Performance: The core performance of Intel cores shine better when compared to AMD cores i.e., Intel has batter core performance per single core where as the single core performance of AMD processors are a little low when compared to Intel processors so AMD compensates this by providing more cores and advanced multi threading technologies, Intel also includes advanced technologies such as Hyper Threading to produce better performance per core although hyperthreading has its disadvantages such as hyperthreading makes a single core to pretend to be two cores so if a software requires two core only single core is allocated which overloads the single core while leaving the actual other core vacant.
  2. Clock Speed: Generally clock speed is termed as a thing the defines the speed of the processor but this may not be true in some cases as the performance of the processor depends on several other factors such as core performance, cache sizes , threading technologies used etc. for example a 3.2GHz processor might outperform a 2.8GHz processor when the have the other defining character same but it might turn out the opposite if the 2.8GHz processor has a better and bigger cache size than 3.2GHz processor.
  3. Memory Management or Handling: Both Intel and AMD have adopted different ways of handling the memory which is usually both RAM and cache access. Intel caches are slightly less in size when compared to AMD cache and is split apart across core where as AMD cache is likely bigger than Intel cache and is shared to all cores.
  4. Graphics Processor and Performance: Both Intel and AMD processors have a graphics processor included most of their processor models but AMD graphics processors are efficient and less power consuming than Intel but may not top at graphics performance where as Intel graphics processor is better in performance, for a personal computer an Intel processor with a dedicated graphics processor works better than AMD processors.
  5. Cost Effective: AMD processors are more cost effective which enables them include more cores and good production quantity and quality where as Intel processors are not much cost effective when compared to AMD processors.Users can get an AMD processor which gives same performance as Intel processor but at a lesser cost then Intel, for personal computers its better to use AMD processors and general purpose use as they sever better.
  6. Power Consumption:  AMD processors are better at power saving and consume very less power to run where as Intel processors are a little bit more power consuming when compared to AMD processors, earlier AMD used to compromise on performance in power saving processors and producing the performance oriented processors separately, but now a days AMD has achieved equal performance as Intel but more power saving.
  7. Size of Cache: Processors have two types of caches such as Layer 1 cache or Level 1 cache or L1 cache and a Layer 2 cache or Level 2 cache or L2 cache. Cache size plays a major role in the performance of the processor bigger the cache size better the performance. AMD processors are likely to have bigger cache sizes when compared to Intel caches.
  8. Processor Size: Process size effects several factors such as performance, power efficiency etc. its like the more number of transistors you can fit on a relatively smaller size processors improves efficiency and reduced power consumption it also allows the manufacturers to produce more processors out of very less materials, earlier Intel and AMD used 150nm technologies but at present both are down to 12 and 14 nm technologies producing better processors.

If the AMD Ryzen 16-Core CPU saves $1,000 per computer manufactured, how would computer manufacturers’ variances be impacted? AMD is rumored to be releasing a new 16-core, 32 thread CPU, that would be significantly more powerful than its competitors – and it would be about $1,000 less expensive than the closest Intel CPU. This AMD chip is named “AMD Ryzen” and it has six more cores than Intel’s current primary desktop CPU – the Core i7 (technically, the “Core i7-6950x.)...

Major car manufacturers make use of computer simulations to experiment with possible plant layouts. The simulations are designed to reflect stochastic effects such as different demand patterns, chance variations in processing times and breakdowns. Hence the results of running a simulation to calculate shifts’ production rates need to be analysed using appropriate statistical methods. Often these computer simulations are quite complex with quite long runtimes, and hence there is an interest in using as few runs of the simulation as...

JCL Inc. is a major chip manufacturing firm that sells its products to computer manufacturers like Dell, HP, and others. In simplified terms, chip making at JCL Inc. involves three basic operations: depositing, patterning, and etching. Depositing: Using chemical vapor deposition (CVD) technology, an insulating material is deposited on the wafer surface, forming a thin layer of solid material on the chip. Patterning: Photolithography projects a microscopic circuit pattern on the wafer surface, which has a light-sensitive chemical like the...
