Please explain how an understanding of the histories of the Civil Rights and LGBT Equality movements can positively inform your practice with individuals who are African-American or LGBT.

The Civil Rights movement and the LGBT Equality movements helps us to show that there are different types of people in the society coming from different backgrounds or section and we the humans should accept each other in every way. The civil rights movement was started so that the dicrimination on the basis of race should be removed and all the people should have their equal rights in the law. This movement was started by the black Americans. Where as LGBT community movement was for the people of the LGBT community as they were been discriminated and sometimes were not being accepted in the society. This movement help to eliminate this discrimination in the society.

These movements can all total help us to educate the equal rights of the people living in the society. People since many many years have been fiighting to eliminate the humility in the society. These movements helps us to understand and know that there are people who are different from us but are humans too.
