Complexity means a state of being difficult and complicated. The five characteristics of complexity are-

Complexity is uncertain. You do not know what complex situation's result will be. for example scientist are making vaccine for COVID-19 but it is complex because they do not know the end result that it will cure or not the person taking vaccine.

Complexity is Interactive in nature. It means that forces present in complicated problem intreact with each other. for example- Covid-19 situation and vaccine can be taken as example where scientist interact with government, government with society, society have people all interacting with each other.

Complexity Leads to innovation and creativity. When you face complex problem or issue then you brainstorm different ideas which can be creative and innovative. for example- You are making vaccine for COVID-19 but accidently came with new ideas to treat other disease.

Complexity is inevitable- Complexity is clear and evident in nature. Every person faces complexity in thier life. for example- competiting in school or at job, Complexity in choosing to do job or open business etc.

Complexity is multi element system- Complexity is made up of multi forces and element which cause problematic situation. If it has one element then it would be simple but too many element can increase complexity. for example- you are facing issue of how to increase your salary at job but now COVID-19 situation complex it because now employers are cutting job let alone increase pay of employees.
