List at least three specific professional objectives for yourself at the one-, three-, and five-year marks after you graduate from college, which are key points in your career. Include your targeted industry, graduate school program (if applicable), level of employment (manager, director, etc.), and expected salary and benefits at each year. Then make specific contingency plans for each time period if you have not reached the objectives listed. Finally, write a one-paragraph description of how potential developments in your personal life over the next five years will affect the objectives you’ve listed.
Three objectives that I have thought of myself as per the years are:
- One year: To get a good job in product management domain.
- Three year: To gain strength and add on adequate skill set that can help me grow in the field that I have chosen.
- Five year: To be at a position wherein I would be handling a product team with various products under me.
The targeted industry is Ecommerce industry or the software industry, the first level would be associate product manager and the last after 5 years would be Assistant Vice president- Product and the salary would vary as per the position. The contingency plan for the 1st year is to get a job in Sales domain, for the 3rd year would be to open my own business which will continue for the 5 years plan as well.
I might think of setting down and getting married so there would be a slowness observed in my growth graph because my responsibilities would get added, having said that it could be looked from positive perspective as well wherein I will get the support from my partner to achieve new heights.
