Explain process operations and the way they differ from job order operations in 250 words or more.
Process Operations :
Process operations are also called process manufacturing or process production. It is the mass production method of producing products in a continuous flow. in other words this is a conveyer belt system that produces identical, standardized items at a high rate of speed.
Job order operations involves the detailed accumulation of production costs attribute to specific unit or group of units but in process operations the accumulation of costs for lengthy production run involving products that are indistinguishable from each other. Job order operations are is used for unique products and process operations is used for standardized products. in Job order Operations method have only one work in progress whereas in process operations Method have a work in progress for each departmental process. job order operations need to have much more record keeping since a cost to be assigned to a particular job when compared to process operations as total cost is assigned to the full process.
