CORTEX
Cerebral cortex can be defined as the outer most layer of the brain which have creased looks.
The cerebral cortex can be divided to the areas with particular function like the sensation, hearing, smell, visionand regulates higher activities like memory, speech and thinking.
Cortex is formed of closely packed neurons and it is the outer layer which surrounds the brain.
WHITE MATTER
The white matter means regions of cenetral nervous system which are formed of myelinated axons, also known as tracts.
Long concept to be passive tissue, the white matter influence the learning and also the brain activities, regulating the supply of action potentials, performing as a relay and correlating the communication among various brain areas.
The color of white matter is said to be white because, there are fatty tissue called as myelin which encircle the nerve fibres.
CEREBRAL NUCLEI( BASAL NUCLEI)
Basal Nuclei or Cerebral Nuclei is a category of subcortical nuclei of diverse origin in the brain of human beings ,that are located in the base of forebrain and peak of midbrain.
The basal nuclei is hardly interconnected with cerebral cortex, brainstem and also the thalamus and also verious other brain regions.
Basal nuclei is related with lots of functions like voluntary motor movements, learning process, eye motion, feelings and cognition.
