Waste can be solid, liquid or glass and each type has different methods of disposal and management. Waste management deals with all types of waste , including industrial biological and household. In some cases waste can pose a threat to human health. so dispose of waste is very important thing.
2. a. Absorbant tissues and towels use in dessection are considered to be non-sharp solid laoratory waste that is known to be a contaminated with biological agents. This should be disposed of in a proper biological waste collection receptacle, as per instituitional policies and local legislation. The waste bin should have 'biohazard ' label affixed as well. Generally, biohazardous wastes are autoclaved or incinerated on-site.
b. Glass icroscope slides should not be disposed of in the regular garbage as they may puncture garbage bags and present a risk of injury. Glass microscope slides must be placed in the appropriate glass collection receptacle, making sure that no pieces of glass are protruding outside the container. The receptacle for broken laborotary glass must be puncture proof , leek proof and contain a ' sharps ' label, as per instituitional policies and local legislation.
After dispose both towels and microscopic slide wash hands thouroughly, as per hand washing technique.
