Give one example how the the endocrine system work with the immune system?
Answer :- Before answering the question I would like to some brief explanation of endocrine system and immune system first I am telling about endocrine system it is chemical messenger system and release hormones by different internal glands into a circulatory system of an human body regulating different target organs.
Immune system is a host defense system which consists many biological structural functions and processes in an human body which protects us from disease. it detects wide range of bacteria, pathogens, viruses, worms, parasites etc. and distinguish them from the own healthy tissue and kill to them by using Immune cells B lymphocytes and T lymphocytes.
One example how the endocrine system works with the immune system
The example is hypothesis that endocrine factors from the pituitary and hypothalamus directly influence the development and function of the Immune system. As we know that pituitary and hypothalamus are endocrine glands.
Pituitary and hypothalamus hormones involves with lymphocytes proliferation and function. Proliferation of T-lymphocytes as well as production of immunoglobulin by plasma cells seem to be hormone dependent. According to clinical observation this is suggested that hematological, ontological, and immunological disorders know for their Immune pathogens are associated with alterations of the endocrine homeostasis. Human peripheral mononuclear cells have been shown to possess specific receptors for pituitary hormones. It is hypothesized that proteohormones act directly on lymphocytes via specific membrane receptors. Thus, the endocrine system, closely related to cortical and subcortical centers in the central nervous system, is one of the body's system to regulate and modulate its Immune response. This hypothesis immunoregulatory pathway via the central nervous system and endocrine glands may well be of importance for the body's defense against infection and disease.
