What is the differences of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint?
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint are part of Microsoft Office suite. They all are different tools and are each intended for a specific range of users and needs.
MICROSOFT WORD:
Microsoft Word is basically designed for creating printed documents. MS Word is a word processing program where you type letters, essays, dissertations, theses, and a wide area of literary genres ranging from poetry to a full-length novel.
People use MS Word for all sorts of creating documents, including:
· Academic notes.
· Letters
· Meeting Minutes
· Handbooks, manuals.
· Newsletters
· Forms
· Invoices, etc.
MICROSOFT POWERPOINT:
Microsoft PowerPoint is primarily a presentation tool. It is designed to help a presenter to visualise his /her ideas as they speak. It is designed mainly for “Displaying things” in form of slides. A Microsoft PowerPoint product is a visual presentation usually displayed on a screen by a projector during a speech. The speaker uses it as a guide to assist audience and themselves to guide them through an organized presentation. It may include charts, graphs, outlines, photos, etc. to illustrate the point.
MICROSOFT EXCEL:
Excel is very versatile, but is mainly used for data recording and calculations to be performed on data. In Excel, various tasks include-
· Calculate results from a large lump of numbers, and then show the way the numbers develop by using a chart or conditional formatting to colour-code relative values.
· Manage large chunk of data and capable of perform automatic tasks on such huge data easily.
· It contains predefined functions for easy data manipulation.
· It is also capable of performing all mathematical calculations on stored data.
