How are the hypothalamus and pituitary able to control the majority of the endocrine system?
ENDOCRINE SYSTEM
Endocrine system is the series of the or group of the glands present in the body which do secrete a chemical called hormone that helps cell to communicate with each other and also it performs lots and lots of functions like controlling the growth and metabolism , reproductive functions , blood pressure etc.
Endocrine system is most important system physiologically which controls all the hormonal responses required for metabolism and directly connected to the brain to monitor as a whole unit.
Endocrine system contains various glands like :-
These are the glands which comes under the endocrine gland and they do the there definite functions and work for a body.
Now explanation of this that why these two able to control the major endocrine system .
Hypothalamus is present in the dicephalon of the brain and this structure acts as the connection between the nervous system and endocrine system.
There is a axis called hypothalamus and pituitary axis which controles the majority of.the endocrine system.
Hypothalamus plays a major role in telling the pituatary to start or stop the secretion the hormones or not.
It controls all the nervous system related signal for the endocrine system.
While Pituitary gland is also known as the master glands of the endocrine as it recieves the information through hypothalamus and its tells every gland in your body what to do or not.
So as it tells the other glands how to respond or what to do it is regarded as the as the master gland of the endocrine and regulates with the help of hypothalamus
The hypothalamus - pituitary complex is also known as a command complex which directly release some hormones in the tissue directly and also they are responsible for the systhesis of the hormones from the other glands.
Command or signal that comes from.the brain mostly passes.from this complex and then goes to the other gland and so these two controls or regulates the major endocrine system
